"Drop down" was an order to do push-ups.

The following is a scene of military training (Navy SEAL) from <<Leading the Life You Want>>. And I'd like to know the exact meaning of "drop down" there. Is it something like "lie down on your belly"?
Their plan was to crawl under the side of the tent and run, and run they did---right past a group of instructors shooting another crew with a fire hose as they did push-ups. "Drop down!" yelled the instructors, but Greitens and his men kept running, taking advantage of the chaos to run off the beach ...
It's an instruction to move quickly from a standing position down to a position usually face-down on the floor or on all fours. The person must "drop" down to the floor.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
