Add "d" in the second form

    Hi,

Is "Add "d" in the second form" correct?
Is "Make an addition of "d" in the second form" correct?

They are both grammatical, but I don't know what your intended meaning is.

Re: Add "d" in the second form

Firstly, the rule for writing is: 'add -ed' and the rule for speaking is 'use t or d sounds'. The rule is sometimes correct and sometimes incorrect; it depends on the verb. This rule is mainly for what are called regular verbs.

Re: Add "d" in the second form

It's not technically correct- you add -d when the verb ends in -e to make a regular second form. It is grammatically correct.
