make somebody take a pill/ eat an apple

If you make somebody take a pill/eat an apple, does it always mean that you apply some force? Can it mean that you just tell them to do it?

Make him take a pill/eat an apple. - What do you associate this sentence with?

Re: make somebody take a pill/ eat an apple

You could use verbal persuasion or physical force or anything in between.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: make somebody take a pill/ eat an apple

"make" can be used to describe deliberate action but also abstract action i.e. without intention e.g. "beer makes me drunk."

Jawgar, that is true, but does it have anything to do with the OP's question?

Though the expression in Jawgar's post is not what I need, the link is good and I found some useful examples I do need.
