Do or Did you like it?

    Hello,

    Another question about tense.

I heard my daughter went to the zoo this morning so I asked her "Oh you went to the zoo today! Do/Did you like it?"

Can I say either with big difference?

    Thanks.

Re: Do or Did you like it?

In the context "Did" would be more natural and appropriate.

Thanks a lot for your prompt help! I guess but I am not sure if I could also say "do" to ask her for her general idea about the zoo now that she has been there once. But I had better not say "do" immeditely after "Oh you went to the zoo today!" Does that make sense?

Yes. "Did" would make more sense.
