    I can't fill these gaps with correct form of "be able to"...

    I can't fill these gaps with be correct form of be able to. Can you help me?
    1. I.............send any e-mails since lunchtime.
    2. She used to....................speak German really well.
    I don't know how do we use be able to. Please help me about it.

    1. I have been unable to send any e-mails since lunchtime.
    2. At one time, she was able to speak German very well.
