God forbid! If XXX (country) is out of the World

    Hi,

Is "God forbid! If XXX (country) is out of the World Cup, then I'll support XXX (another country)" correct?

Re: God forbid! If XXX (country) is out of the World

I find "God forbid!" there unnatural (as a standalone exclamation).

God forbid that Spain are knocked out of the World Cup. If they are, I'll have to support Germany!
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

The "God Forbid!" could be a response to a prediction by someone that Spain is going to lose.
