    Life is mathematics

"If you help others, you will be helped, perhaps tomorrow, perhaps in one hundred years, but you will be helped. Nature must pay off the debt… it is a mathematical law and all life is mathematics." -- Gurdjieff

"Life is mathematics", can we say "life is certain"?

Nelson Mandela once said "There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you."

just wanna know what "nothing enlighted" here mean?

Haven’t you ever been up to your ass in alligator with no way to drain the swamp? Yes I have. But it was my own thinking that had me up to it with alligators.

from the above context, does it imply the problem is your "thinking", right?

    Hello Beeja

    1. I think this means "you get back what you give".

    2. "Nothing enlightened" here means "nothing exceptionally wise".

    3. Yes, the problem seems to be with his "thinking": it seems to mean that he has created the swamp and the alligators himself.

    See you,
