    The SEC also requires companies

    Hello,

    Quoted:
/The SEC also requires companies that maintain websites to now post the forms by the end of the next business day after filing them with the SEC./

The author puts the word "now" right between prep "to" and verb "post", making it a little bit wierd to me, especially in that order: " to now post"
I guess the author are saying "Now,
the SEC also requires companies that maintain websites to post the forms by the end of the next business day after filing them with the SEC."

Can anybody tell me whether my understanding is correct?

    Thank you very much!

Yes! (Those companies weren't required to do that before, but they are now.)

Sum41111, please note that I have changed your thread title. Titles should include some or all of the words/phrases you are querying.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Why is that weird to you? If you're thinking about claims that there's a rule that you shouldn't split infinitives, don't worry. People often split them .
