While I was reading vocabulary builder, I came across the sentence "All politics is local".
Is above verb usage right?.
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Some authorities feel that the word "politics" is singular when it refers to "a branch of study" and plural when it refers to "someone's set of beliefs."
"Politics stinks, " said Sonny.
"Sonny's politics stink," said Gopher.
-- from Woe Is I (1996 edition) by Patricia O'Conner.
Thus, some people would feel more comfortable saying, "Your politics are none of my business."
