    ensure increases

""I would have thought that using percentages to calculate tips would ensure increases with the cost of living."

What does ensure mean in this sentence? I would say tips would increase...Would it be different?

    Re: ensure increases

Can you write the entire sentence you're suggesting? I'm not sure how you're trying to word the alternative.

I've just spotted that this is a duplicate thread and you already have three or four responses. Please don't post the same question twice.

Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
