    He has a soft body.

The baby is eating his toes.
    He has a soft body.
    His body is soft.

In this context, can I say the baby's body is soft?

Re: He has a soft body.

I do not understand the sentences.
What has the softness of the baby's body got to do with him eating his toes?
I thought the human body is basically soft.

Are you saying that the baby can put his toes into his mouth because his body is flexible?

Yes, some baby can't suck their toe.
The older they are, they will not able to suck their toe.

Is the word "flexible" suitable for this.
If the baby is 2 years old and unable to lift his toe to his face. Inflexible body is sound wrongly.
