Please help me check the email

Below is the email to be sent to my university instructor. Could you please check for the errors.

    Dear Eva,

There are limited places for the course and many of us would like to take it to learn more about how psychology influences education. Could you please add some quotas so more students can gain exposure in this field?
    Thank you.

I look forward to hearing from your reply.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

Re: Please help me check the email

    I would write:

    Dear Eva

I note that there is a limited number of places available on [name of course]. However, many students would be interested in learning more about how psychology influences education. Would it be possible to make more places available?

I look forward to hearing from you/I look forward to your reply.

    Thank you.

    Daniel

I find "Cheers" to be far too informal as a closing for this email.

Re: Please help me check the email

I am confused with the usage of "would" and "could". Is it appropriate to use "could" instead of "would" here? Also, is it true that sentences beginning with the phrases "would you" or "could you please xxxx" should end with a question mark?

Re: Please help me check the email

In this context, both "would" and "could" are possible. "Would you add more places?" is a polite way of asking them to do so. "Could you add more places?" means "Is it possible to add more places?"

Both must end with a question mark.
