    Reported Speech

Hi, can I write the following indirect speech sentences in these two different ways and they are both correct?

    Direct Speech:
"Mr Hamilton and I have agreed to disagree on the contract."

    Indirect Speech:
Mr Oswald said he and Mr Hamilton had agreed to disagree on the contract.
    OR
Mr Oswald said Mr Hamilton and he had agreed to disagree on the contract.

    Thanks!

Note the correct word order for a question: "So are they both correct?"
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Reported Speech

I'd accept "So they are both correct?" as a well-formed question, in the context.

Yes, but the first flows better for me.

    Re: Reported Speech

We spend a lot of time trying to teach learners the proper form for questions. I think we should stick to that.
