    chocolates on your pillow

    Hi guys

I have a question about the meaning of "chocolates on your pillow", I heard it in the series "12 Monkeys".

    This is the context :

You... you have been living the good life...clean water, lights, chocolates on your pillow. Hmm?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: chocolates on your pillow

You can take it literally. In high class hotels the maid will leave chocolates on your pillow when she makes your bed.

Here, it contrasts with the other examples, which are scarcely high life for most people.
