    hand-pulled

    Hi guys

I have a question about the meaning of "hand-pulled", Can someone please help me?

    This is the context :

This is our first renoir of the evening. This is a heliogravure, which is an etching. It was hand-pulled from a copper plate in Paris in 1919.

    Thanks in advance.
