    Punctuation books, blease?

    Hello dear teachers!

Would you be so kind to recommend me good (really good) books on English punctuation for upper-intermediate and advanced levels?

    Thank you!

Punctuation is so unstandardized that I doubt there are worthwhile books about it. You could consult the style guides of various newspapers and magazines.

Purdue University's On-line Writing Lab is a pretty good resource.

Do you mean books to read about it or books to practise it?

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Both. I mean... to read the theory with some examples and do some exercises afterward. to make it easier to remember.

Don't spend any money on books until you have exhausted the material in Mike's link in post #3.

    NOT A TEACHER
On another note, why did you say "blease", Alex?
Please notify me of any mistakes in my posts. It is much appreciated.

    It was obviously a typo.
