    Present Perfect Tense

Have you ever been to Japan?

Can I write this sentence without ever?

    And the answer is:
1.No, I have never been to Japan.

2.No, I have not been to Japan.

My teacher taught me to use first sentence.

Can I use the second sentence?

    Re: Present Perfect Tense

You can omit "ever". Both answers are correct.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Present Perfect Tense

Karen, please note that a better title would have been Have you ever been to Japan?.
