    day of evil

    Hi guys.
I want the meaning of the phrase "day of evil", is here anybody who can help me?
    Here is the Context:
"The Lord hath made all things for Himself:
yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."
    Thanks in advance.

'The LORD has made all things for himself: yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.'── Proverbs 16:4
In my Chinese bible, the translation of 'the day of evil' literally means 'the day of scourges'.
