    Could you tell me what you call these decorative things that are hanging on the wall?

    Perhaps "charms". Perhaps "hanging decorations".

    I would call them "knick-knacks" or "bric-a-brac".

    They would fall into those categories as part of a bigger group but I wouldn't describe them as either of your suggestions.

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
