    I would say yes, on the grounds that I'd say 'He's a member of the Chelsea Football Academy'.

    That makes sense, but it also sounds OK without the article to me.

    Without the article, I'd say 'He's a member of Chelsea's Football Academy'.

    I have no problem with "He's a member of Chelsea Football Academy". It follows the same pattern as "He plays for Chelsea Football Club".
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
