serve to, among other things, build OR serve, among other things, to build

    It's me one more time.

    Which version is better?

    1. A moonpool can serve to, among other things, build and repair offshore structures.
    2. A moonpool can serve, among other things, to build and repair offshore structures.

Maybe, it does not matter at all.

    Thank you.

Re: serve to, among other things, build OR serve, among other things, to build

    What's a moonpool?

EDIT: Right — I've found it.

    #2 is better.

    Also better than #1 are

    3. 'A moonpool, among other things, can serve to build and repair offshore structures.'

    4. 'A moonpool can serve to build and repair offshore structures, among other things.'
