    What does mean "team member"?

    What does mean "team member"?
In our team, there are two people. Me and my boss. Can the boss be a team member?
    Or I don't have a team member.

If there are only two of you, you are not really a team, are you?

The problem is that I am preparing a performance review. Salary issue, you know.
One field I need to fill it out.

What team member made the biggest contribution to your success this year, and what did they do?

Re: What does mean "team member"?

Of course my boss. But the question is for my success.. Should I mention him? My understanding to the term "team member" is referring to all people under the boss's leadership. However my boss only governs me.

Re: What does mean "team member"?

If the boss who is reviewing you is the same boss that is your "team member" I don't think he really wants for you to tell him how great he was. Unless he does, and then you have other problems.

Is there no other employee that you work with, that helps you achieve your goals, that helps to satisfy the customer?

I guess the CEO or VP will review it but I have to turn in the form to my boss first. We are IT company, just writing code.

I would not consider the person reviewing you to be a "team member" for this purpose.

Re: What does mean "team member"?

You can answer the question by pointing out that you don't have a team; it is just you and your boss. And then write what you did.
