    Are these sentences correct:
    1-The brother of your boss was here yesterday.
    2-The hand of your sister was injured.
    3-The paw of that dog has healed.

    They're correct, but to use 'sister's hand', etc, sounds more natural. I see no need for the greater formality here. With the first, the grander the boss, the more natural it would sound.
