    "A dream doesn't become a reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work."
    Does the word sweat above mean hard work?
    If so/yes, why is it repeated?

    Yes it does mean "hard work", and I would imagine that it's repeated here for symbolism and emphasis.

    You can sweat without working hard. Like when you step outside in Houston in the summer.

    You can work hard without sweating. Like doing difficult mental work.
