    Would and will usage.

    Would and will usage.

    She asks if changing my 12PM appointment to 130PM would be okay. And I say:

    Actually, 130PM will be perfect.

    What's the difference here. When should I use will and would?

    You could use either. Or you can use either.

    "Would" is conditional. There is an implied conditional in the statement "1:30 would be perfect." If you changed the appointment, then it would be perfect.

    "Will" is simply talking about the future.

    In this situation, either is possible. I would probably say "would."

    In writing, you're more likely to see 1.30pm (BE) or 1:30 P.M. (AE).
