    Fret and fume

Kindly let me know how, when and whereto use this phrase "fret and fume". Even though I know I want more clarity on this, please.

    Thank you

    Re: Fret and fume

When you are extremely frustrated and cannot do anything except worry angrily. A parent waiting for son or daughter long after they were expected home might fret and fume, because they are worried about them but also angry because they haven't come home when agreed.
