What's the difference here:

I didn't know your name was Jamie.

VS

I didn't know your name is Jamie.

And

I didn't know you have a bf.

VS

I didn't know you had a bf.


If that person still has the same bf.


Are both okay?

You can always use the past tense and be right and sound natural.
You can use the present tense if you need to make sure it's still true, as in the 'bf' (boyfriend?) example.
