    'Ticked a lot of boxes today'- AB De Villiers (South African Cricket captain)

    What is the meaning of this Idioms refer to the above link? I understood that many players performed well today. Am I correct?

    Imagine that each player is given a list of things their manager/coach would like them to do in each match. For example:

    Play well.
    Score lots of runs.
    Stop the opposition scoring too many runs.
    Bowl out the opposition.

    Imagine that that is a "Things To Do" list, with a little empty box next to each task. At the end of the match, the winning team would be able to "tick" each box on that list, to show that they did all the things they were asked to do.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
