    Free newspapers versus ________ newspapers

We all know there are free tabloids being distributed all across the globe every second, but I was wondering what the opposite of these newspapers is. Paid Newspapers? Charged newspapers? Any simple expressions to refer to this group of newspapers that we have to pay to get them?

    Thanks

Subscriptions are for things which you pay to be delivered regularly.
What about newspapers that you buy at the newsstand?

Re: Free newspapers versus ________ newspapers

I don't think the antonym of "free" that you're looking for, exists for this context.

Re: Free newspapers versus ________ newspapers

It seems that 'paid' was used as the antonym of 'free' in the following document.
    http://www.newspaperinnovation.com/w...hip_vienna.pdf There are 72 'paid's.

Re: Free newspapers versus ________ newspapers

Try something like "conventional" or "traditional" newspapers.

Re: Free newspapers versus ________ newspapers

We assume that newspapers have to be paid for unless they're described as 'free'.
