    a subway or public transport.

People who work from home can avoid stressful situations in overcrowded places such as a subway or public transport.

Is the sentence above correct? I'm not sure in the bold part.
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Re: a subway or public transport.

    I am not a teacher.

It's perfectly intelligible as it is, but I would replace 'a subway' by 'the subway' or 'subways'.

Also, public transport isn't a place. Perhaps 'on public transport' would work better.

'People who work from home can avoid stressful situations in overcrowded places such as subways, or on public transport.'

Re: a subway or public transport.

You have combined a specific with a general. It seems to me that the specific example is enough. "... such as on a subway."
