    Does it make sense?

Does it make sense the sentence "this fight against" or "this outbrust against" without specifying the subject? The sentence is part of a song lyrics.
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Does it make sense?

That's not a sentence. You can't expect proper grammar in a song lyric.
In any case, the phrases, "this fight against" and "this outburst against" can be the subject and preposition.

    Re: Does it make sense?

Ok so let's continue the sentence.
The sentence is "This fight against will keep you far from here". And i really don't know if I can say this or I must specify to whom we are fighting against.

    Re: Does it make sense?

Sorry, I meant it could be the subject and a preposition, not a verb.
"This fight" is the subject. In proper English grammar, yes, you'd need to add an object of the preposition "against", as you say.

    Re: Does it make sense?

Yeah sorry I meant object, not subject.
Ok, that's a bad news. Thank you!

"That's bad news". 'News' is uncountable.

    Re: Does it make sense?

Here are two more things to learn:

    1. Write OK or okay — not ok.

    2. Note that a better title would have been This fight against.

    Extract from the Posting Guidelines:

'Thread titles should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.'

I think 'to' should be omitted, but I am not a teacher.
