Question real old and spooky and spiderwebby

    In:
    It was a small church,
real old and spooky and spiderwebby.
    (S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders)
Here are two ands in the sentence.
What I learn is that than there are more than two "things", we put in commas.

    Just like:
He is tall, handsome and well-educated.

    Can I write:
He is tall and handsome and well-educated.
    instead?
