    difficult sentence


    Hi everyone
    Please in this sentence:At the far end of the room, waiters hovered at the open doors of the restaurant,
    i want to know if "hovered" is adjective and please what is the meaning of hovered.

    Hovered is a verb. The adjectives in this sentence are 'far' and 'open'.

    Hovered kind of means waiting or remaining in one place and waiting for something. In this case, the waiters might be waiting for food to serve or guests to welcome.
