    A medical vocabulary question

    Hi,

    Does anyone know how you call the stitches that you get put on when you cut yourself but are not sewn on?

    As far as I know, if you get stitches they are, by definition, sewn.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Sometimes, adhesive tape is used in place of sewn sutures. In AmE these tapes are called butterflies.
