    Question For example?

    She does't ask her son to stay at home all day long. ( ),she often travels with her son.
    (a) Instead. (b) For example
    Which one is right?
    The answer given is (a). I wonder why can't I choose (b)?

    Perhaps:

    She doesn't ask her son to stay at home all day long. Instead, she often takes him with her on her trips.

    (If you were going to use "For example" I would want to know what it is an example of.)

    (Why don't they ever ask me to help them with those quizzes? )
