    Many jobs disappeared,

Many jobs disappeared, for example, when intelligent machines took over the work.

Is the above sentence correct? i'm not sure whether I should use the present perfect or the past simple here.
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

    Re: Many jobs disappeared,

The sentence is perfectly fine. (Additional context might suggest a reason to use present perfect, but as it stands there is no reason to use present perfect.)

    Re: Many jobs disappeared,

Have we actually created intelligent machines now?
