    Essential or non-essential?

"At the time, she was a patient at Richard Young Hospital where she brought up incidents of abuse and cult activity, with a therapist."

Is that last phrase, "with a therapist" essential or non essential with regards to this sentence? As of now I have the comma there indicating my belief that it is non essential.

    thanks,
    Matt

    Re: Essential or non-essential?

If you need to make it clear that she divulged that information to a therapist rather than just mentioning it in conversation with someone else, then it's necessary. However, the structure of the sentence is a little messy. I would simplify it to "... where she told a therapist about incidents of abuse and cult activity".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It could go either way. Was the the therapist responsible?
