    The meaning

    Dear Messrs.
Please help me to put in other word the phrase "to live a year in a week" (eg. Mrs. Stannard lives live a year in the week).
    Gratefully.
    Rgds.

    Re: The meaning

Sorry for a mistake in my query: Mrs. Stannard lived a year in the week.
    The context is like that:
    "
Mrs. Stannard lived a year in the week. She remebered the detective's words, 'secret vice'. There was something horrible about them. Yes, there were worse things even than a woman." (Rex Stout. "Jonathan Stannard's cecret vice")

    Re: The meaning

Do you mean this: "Mrs. Stannard lived a year in the week that followed."?

Absolutely right. Thanks. Does it (the phrase) mean that she recalled every minute detail of their life or it seemed to her that the week was a year long?
