    I go across to commiserate

    What does this mean?
I found this as an example sentence to word "commiserate" as I tried to find it from Sara natcorp pages but there was no further context.
Is "go across" a phrasal verb??

Re: I go across to commiserate

I think it means to move across a room or space to commiserate- I don't see how this sentence illustrates to meaning very well.
