    Having+past participle

    Hello!

We saw in school last week how having+past participle works but I didn't understand and we have a test on monday.
    For example, if I say:
Having passed the first step, you can't go back.
    Does it work???

    Thank you in advance!

Yes, it does work. That's how you use it.
Having understood that, you should do OK in the test.
