    Help needed

Hi I am new to the forum and I am currently designing a flyer for a car club and have it written out but some are saying I have not used proper grammar and bits need to be changed and was wandering if they are right and if you could tell me what is wrong.

What they are saying is that the And after Essex should not be there. Is this right?

    Thank you for your help

If you remove and, you should put a full stop after Essex.

    Re: Help needed

    Welcome to the forum.

Your question needs to be split into at least three sentences, and the text of your flyer into at least two.

You should hyphenate 'all-American' and start a new sentence after 'Essex'. Your friends are wrong if they think you should simply leave out 'and', but right if they think a new sentence should start with 'We have our own club meet...'

    Re: Help needed

You have you own club meet? Huh? Would you have somebody else's club meet at the diner? It seems so wordy and unnecessary.

We meet at blah blah Diner in blah blah the second Sunday of each month, from October through April ( or is it May?)

    Re: Help needed

"Why not check out our club forum?" needs a question mark. Or re-worded to a simple "check out our club forum!"

    Re: Help needed

I would shorten and centre the whole thing. This is how I would design the poster:

    Essex All-American Car Club

We meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month at The Bungalow Diner in Marks Tey.
Meets begin after the end of the show season in October
and continue through until show season restarts in May.

For dates and times of all our meets, check out our club forum!
