I'm thinking of doing a tattoo inspired by a friend of mine who passed away and in need of assistance regarding the idiom "beyond recall".
The sentence is: "An exceptional memory is to be treasured beyond recall." I am still not sure if the sentence sounds logical and natural.
I am meaning to use "beyond recall" in the sense of the ever lasting and irrevocable feeling it has to it, I'm just not sure though, if it's correct. I have thought of using words like 'eternity' and such instead but frankly, it just sounds dull. Considered 'recollection' but then again I much prefer the phrase mentioned and also really fond of the contrast it makes with the use of the word memory.
Any help in clarifying this issue would be appreciated. Suggestions for replacements are welcome in any case.
