In the book, about the present perfect simple tense, it is written that: "The present perfect is used to describe: 1. An action or situation that started in the past and continues in the present." and the given example is: "She has worked in the bank for five years."
My question is, in this example wouldn't it be more correct to use the present perfect continuous? "She has been working in the bank for five years." Which of these two sentences is correct? Is it correct to use the present perfect simple there and if so, why? If both of them are correct, what is the main difference between them?
