All the sentence starting with "Because there were schedules to be maintained"

    Hello all users!

Because there were schedules to be maintained, the showings that were presented were fixed, and if people couldn’t attend at those times, they risked missing the show.

The way I understand the sentence is as follows:

Because there were schedules that/which were to be maintained, the presented showings were fixed (reason), and if people couldn’t attend at those times, they risked not being able to watch the show.

In my opinion, the whole sentence could be split in two separate ones:

    1) Because there were schedules that/which were to be maintained, the presented showings were fixed.

    2) If people couldn’t attend at those times, they risked not being able to watch the show.

What do you think of my conclusions?

    Thank you.
