Question Iíve always loved working and life without a job is just dull and boring

    Hello All,
Are the following sentences grammatically correct?! can I use 'when' along with 'past participle'?!

I’ve always loved working and life without a job is just dull and boring. I guess it was quite a long time ago when I had been applying for several jobs for months before I got a challenging job with good prospects in private computer firm. In facts, I was appointed as a customer technical support specialist. Although it was not such a well-paid and highly satisfactory job, I did my best, worked hard and soon was promoted to the senior expert within six months.

    Thanks.
