    Word order

"The job of health professional is to not only help people be free from disease, both physical and mental, but also to help people be happy."

This sentence is from an EFL textbook. What’s bothering me is the word order: it says ‘to not only help’ earlier, and ‘but also to help’ later. Shouldn’t these two orders be the same?

Yes. '...is not only to help people...'

Please note that a better title would have been to not only help.

Thank you very much for your answer.
As for the title, I will do that in the future.
    Thanks again.

    Re: Word order

Did you copy it exactly? "The job of health professional ..." is wrong. It should be either "The job of a health professional ..." or "The job of health professionals ...".

Also, please give the name and author of the ESL book in which you found it. It's important to quote your source.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
