Is it grammatical to say "strengthen someone's language foundation"?

    Hi teachers!

I would like to ask if the following sentences are grammatical or not:

    1. The course aims at strengthening/consolidating the students' language foundation.
    2. The course aims at strengthening/consolidating the students' foundation of English language.

Thank you in advance for your help!

The course aims to strengthen ...
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Do you mean it is better to change "aim at" to "aim to" and reconstruct the sentences like:

    1. The course aims to strengthen/consolidate the students' language foundation.
    2. The course aims to strengthen/consolidate the students' foundation of English language.

    Are both sentences idiomatic?
    Thank you!

Add 'the' before 'English' and they are both acceptable.
