    How many cents

If someone tells me that the price of a thing is $162.32. If I didn't get it right. Can I ask that person "Could you please repeat yourself. The price is $162 and how many cents" or "how much cents"?

    How many.

I would use (I beg your) pardon rather than Could you please repeat yourself, which is not a very natural question to me.

See my corrections above. You still need to work on using commas instead of full stops.

Use "How many" with countable nouns and "How much" with uncountable nouns.

    How many cents are there?
How many cats do you have?
How many potatoes did you eat?

How much money do you have?
How much water is in the kettle?
How much sand is in the Sahara Desert?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: How many cents

"How many?" would sound right, as cents can be counted.

Alex S, did you read the other responses? Your response, though correct, has added nothing to the discussion. If you agree with the information given by previous posters, simply click on the "Like" button to indicate your agreement instead of writing a new post that says the same thing.
