    the rapid growth of factories

    Hello.

There is a fear that our planet will become impossible to live on, because of the rapid growth of factories, which pollute the air and water.

Did I use articles correctly? (I mention factories for the first time)
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Not a teacher nor a native speaker.

The use of articles is correct. I would remove both commas.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: the rapid growth of factories

I could go either way with the second comma. If the writer intended specific kinds of factories, then no comma. If the writer intended factories in general, the comma would be OK.

Re: the rapid growth of factories

That occurred to me just as I came back to this thread. I agree entirely.
