    Are both okay:

Yeah, I was in a hurry to find a place so I booked multiple places and decided to take whomever accepted the request first.

Yeah, I was in a hurry to find a place so I booked multiple places and decided to take whoever accepted the request first.

What's the difference between whomever and whoever? It's very confusing to me.

Given that places aren't people, I would use "... decided to take whichever accepted the request first".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Yes, but it's the hosts who would have to accept the requests, not the places. Right?

I'm thinking in terms of the people accepting the booking and not the places.

Even if that were the case, "whomever" is incorrect. It is the subject of "accepted".
